Overview of second Conference on Urban Planning and Management

Islamic City Council, Municipality and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in order to utilize the updated knowledge and experiences in urban affairs held a conference on 19-29 April, 2010. In this regard, the secretariat of conference formed 13 scientific committee meetings and 6 executive committee meetings. They examined 280 received articles from which 62 cases were approved.

After completing conference, compact discs and a book of lectures and proceedings were sent to the participants of this conference.

Report of Conference:

Second conference on Urban Planning and Management with the aim of creating an opportunity to gather researchers, managers and professionals in urban affairs to exchange information and viewpoints and to utilize new research achievements and executive experiences was held by Research Center of Islamic City Council, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and Municipality on (21-22/April), 2007 in Mashhad.

It is necessary to remind that Mashhad University of Medical sciences, Representative of Khorasan Razavi of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Cultural Heritage, Crafts and Tourism Organization participated to endorse this conference.

Mr Shir Mohammadi, President of the time of Islamic City Council was chairman of conference and Mr Hadi Azami, Faculty member of Geography Department of Ferdowsi University was the secretary of the conference.

 Description of Conference:

Totally 280 articles were received from beginning of 2009 autumn until deadline for submitting papers and each of them was sent to three judges to evaluate.

From this number, 62 articles were approved in order to present at four Halls at the same time.

-There were 350 participants of this conference.
